I love food as much as I love cooking. This is probably why I find great joy in taking pictures of food. I started my photography at the turn of the century by taking pictures of food for the Philippines’ biggest foodservice company. I enjoy working with chefs. They never cease to amaze me on how they can transform ordinary ingredients to culinary masterpieces. It is perhaps what people see in every food photo I take – my sense of wonder and joy. Food is something everyone should celebrate.
I’ve worked with several food companies and their respective advertising agencies. My work has appeared not just in marketing and advertising campaigns but has also been featured in magazines and newspapers. From food, I covered weddings. It is a natural progression for me, as food is closely tied up with celebrations. Weddings demand that special personal moments be captured in photos as well. Hence, portraiture became a permanent part of my services.
I travel in the course of working for my clients. Armed with my cameras, I also try to take photos of the places I visit, as much as I can. I travel and undertake documentation of events as they unfold.
